Question

We had a situation we had with the oxygen sensor last week.  When I went to start a scan, the sensor would not light up and turn on so we could start the test, (obviously).  after reopening the program, we got it to turn on but it did not light up brightly, but only very dimly to see it was on.  Then it did lots of beeping till we hit the button on it again.  Since then, it isn’t lightly up very brightly and when the test finishes, it beeps until I hit the button on it again.  If you could please let us know what you think is happening that would be great, thanks!

Answer

Brightness of the pulse sensor has 4 levels (1-4) and it is possible to change it if you press white button 3 sec and then you can change the brightness in the menu.

Alarm / Sound can be turned on or turned off as well in the same menu of the pulse sensor.

Probably the settings were changed and need to change it back to restore original values.

I attach 2 photos with original settings.

Question

Our Kiosk pulse oximeter seems to be losing power in the middle of scans.

Answer

As for the pulse oximeter: can you please specify how this happens? Does the test stop because of the low oximeter signal? In one of the rectangles during the test you can follow the quality, it should be
60 or more in order to complete the test.

Low signal can be a result of: bad cable connection, dust on the sensors, cold hands or low room temperature as a cause of that, artificial nails, low microcirculation in the hand due to hand position (if bent too hard) or watch if it is tightening the wrist.
